The Yokohama Sport V105 tire is a performance summer tire developed for the drivers of high-powered sports cars， sporty coupes and performance sedans. The rubber and tire construction techniques used in this tire is based on technology from motorsports. The Yokohama Advan Sport V105 tire combines an increase in agile handling with a more comfortable ride when compared to other Yokohama sport tires thanks to a patented micro-silica and orange Oil enhanced tread compound. This helps the tread rubber remain pliable to improve tire adhesion and grip without pre-mature wear. The tire has an asymmetrical tread design in which wide outboard shoulder blocks and circumferential ribs work together to promote dry traction and handling. It has features variable width circumferential grooves and asymmetric lateral notches to help reduce noise and promote water flow through the footprint to resist hydroplaning. There are two rigid steel belts reinforced by spirally wound overlapping nylon across the tread with three layers covering the belt edges in the shoulders to combine high-speed durability and responsive handling.
